Grout and caulk what they’ve done is they have stopped my shower from leaking and molding around the edges of my shower. Jovany removed all of the old moldy caulk that was around my shower, and he replaced it with silicone instead of that traditional DAP. And it looks really good and it lasts explanation mark he also took the liberty of cleaning my shower and giving it an acid wash to remove all of the hard water and grime on the shower walls and inner tub.
Jovany said that the process was very simple. All he did was remove the Caulk with a knife although it took him a few hours because it was a lot, then scraping off any loose bits of caulk that were there. he cleaned the shower and replaced all the calk with silicone, and it looks brand new! I was quite surprised.
He also gave me a sense of reassurance. He said if anything were to go wrong when he left, he would come back and fix it for free. It put my mind at ease because he was giving me a fair deal and making sure that I had quality experience. Not caring about the money but just caring that my shower worked.
A question that I had for him was how long well this silicone you’re putting in last? He then told me it could be anywhere from six months to 60 years. With silicone there’s a lot of variables in factors humidity, how much people are touching it and etcetera. But he said if it’s applied correctly and temperatures in circumstances are ideal it will last for awhile
I just got my shower re-caulked. And it took him about three to four hours to finish and clean my whole shower and touch up any areas that needed it, but he gave me a discount for sharing it with my friends on Facebook and just for a shower re-caulk he charged me $200. And that is more than fair. The pro to doing it with Giovanni is that you’ll save time, and I would argue money. The con is if you can give him a few hours to work on the shower it’ll make it as good as new. Also, if you know how to do it yourself you can also do that but I’m someone who doesn’t have a lot of time nor knows how to re-caulk a shower, so Jovany’s the perfect balance between price and customer satisfaction end of quality service
